THE DiDDY SAGATHE ASTROLOGY OF MR. FREAK-OFF AND HIS ASTROGLIDE BRIGADE

Of course, on a fundamental level, I'm ecstatic that Karen Read is now free. And, I could take a victory lap over my prediction that, beginning on June 9th (when Jupiter entered Cancer), her chart looked fantastic for justice to prevail.
But, instead, I feel an emptiness due to the fact that I can no longer tune into the daily courtroom drama of that bonkers, crooked case.
Indeed, I miss awkward Bob Alessi, one of Read's lawyers, hammering a State's witness on some rickety science that they had used to try and hoodwink the jury. I miss Alan Jackson's whip-smart snarkiness, as sharp as his crisp white shirts and $800 ties.I miss the thrill of outrage caused by Judge Cannonne's daily attempts to tilt the scales of justice ever away from the defendant.
I miss Karen Read strenuously avoiding eye-contact with John O'Keefe's mother, a woman possessed of a demonically righteous though misplaced fury. I even miss Hank Brennan's venal voice, crawling up the walls of the courtroom like a cockroach. But now even his voice has disappeared back down into the sewers from which it came among the rats and discarded hamburgers of Boston.
Is it bad to wish that Karen might have stayed in legal limbo for a few more months, just to satisfy whatever weird craving this case caused its viewers worldwide?
Clearly.
And yet, I'm sure the millions who tuned into this fiasco are also feeling a harsh comedown, ever since the triumphant not-guilty verdict was read aloud to the dismayed judge. Now, it's as if all of us are suffering through the after-effects of beaucoup MDMA at Coachella: depleted, listless, dispirited, hungry for some pizza, but too defeated to get on online to order some.
So, what now, many of us are asking post-Karen Read? What now?
Sure, there are podcasts we might turn to--podcasts desperately trying to milk this case for all its worth by hosting jurors and attorneys. But it's not the same.
Many of us have moved on to other trials--the Idaho Student slayings here, the Colorado murder of a wife by a husband there. Yet we all know these are pretty weak compared to what we just witnessed with the Karen Read case--a once-in-a-generation magical legal double-helix spiraling around our sense of ethics, justice, and the Good.
I, too, have ruefully moved on from Karen. Where? To the tawdry climes of the Diddy case. It's a shameful spectacle over there, full of salacious details--from reams of the lubricant Astroglide to bulk-sized Costco shipments of baby oil to dildos of all shapes and sizes, all meant to further Diddy's now famous Freak-Offs, or saturnine sex partys that lasted for days in Miami and LA penthouse hotel suites.
And we haven't even touched on the disturbing allegations of violence, drugs, and sex-trafficking brought forth by those in his orbit, most notably Cassie Ventura, Diddy's ex-girfriend and victim of extreme physical and sexual abuse, if the State's arguments prove true.
Usually, this kind of thing would be right up my alley. But it just doesn't hit the same as Karen.
Perhaps it should, though? Isn't Diddy being railroaded by the Justice system for the private peccadillos of a hip-hop prince of Bel-Air? Meh. Post "Me-Too," there is no way that he gets away with his Heath Ledger Joker-level sexual villainy.
Or will he? What do the Stars say about this dubious figure's chances of being found innocent?
First let's look at his chart in general. Of course he’s a Scorpio—the sign most classically associated with sex, secrets, control, power, and hidden behavior. It also rules the genitals in traditional astrology—making it a literal symbol of sexual themes, especially when power dynamics are involved.
But beyond the Sun sign, Diddy’s chart contains an extremely strong Venus.
His Venus is in Libra, a sign it rules. That’s called domicile—Venus here is in full power, radiant and expressive. Even more striking, it’s conjunct Jupiter, the planet of expansion. This aspect magnifies Venusian traits: charm, seduction, pleasure, beauty, sex, music, luxury.
In Christian Astrology, William Lilly describes Venus well placed as:
“She signifies a person of a lovely countenance, faire, feminine… cheerful, nothing mistrustful, apt to merriment, music, dancing…” (CA, p. 61)
This reflects Diddy's public image—successful in music, stylish, socially magnetic, a cultural icon.
But Lilly also warns about Venus poorly directed:
“If Venus be ill placed… she denotes a dissolute, luxurious person, one given to unclean desires, amorous, idle, cheating women, riotous…” (CA, p. 61)
And here’s where the deeper issue lies: while Venus and Jupiter suggest charm and success, they are squared by Mars in Capricorn—a Mars that is exalted, meaning it too is incredibly powerful, but in a cold, calculated, ambitious way.
Lilly on Mars exalted:
“In his exaltation, he is more than ordinarily active, high-spirited, and ambitious… desirous of command, choleric, and fierce.” (CA, p. 63)
But when Mars is in hard aspect:
“If Mars be unfortunate… he is then a furious desperado, a murderer, a quarreller… delighting in mischief.” (CA, p. 63)
A Venus–Mars square in the natal chart often signals conflict between desire and dominance. It can show someone who struggles with healthy boundaries in sexual or emotional relationships—where attraction, charm, and love are crossed by aggression, control, and obsession.
And now, we see the shadow side of this square manifesting in real life, with Diddy’s current legal trials.
The allegations include sexual assault, physical abuse, and manipulation—directly reflecting the distorted expression of this Venus-Jupiter-Mars tangle. The charges describe hypersexual behavior, coercion, and violence hidden behind a polished public image—textbook Venus-Jupiter square Mars in Capricorn.
And remember: Scorpio—his Sun sign—rules the genitals, the hidden, the taboo. It wants to possess, dominate, and uncover. When expressed in a distorted way, it becomes secretive, obsessive, and manipulative.
This isn't to say astrology justifies anything—but it does illustrate how planetary energies can play out when not consciously integrated. Diddy’s chart shows immense charm, power, and success—but also the potential for indulgence, abuse, and coercive control.
The trial is a real-life manifestation of a powerful but imbalanced chart. This is a case of Venus at her most seductive—and Mars at his most dangerous.
In short, a man with diabolical, though powerful elements to his chart. But what do his current transits indicate as to his innocence?
To be continued....
