The High Priestess

"Presume not that I am the thing I was.”

― William Shakespeare

The High Priestess card is the 2nd card in the Major Arcana. It comes directly after the forward momentum of the Magician and before the abundant Empress. The High Priestess is a nocturnal and yin card. It represents all phases of the Moon on the card, representing night time and when we are at our must venerable. The High Priestess also represents our unconscious energy and our intuitive nature. This can also be a card of projection, and of other people imagining a version of you that may not be accurate.

Go inward. No action is needed. Time for contemplation. Choose the path of the Hermit. Do not seek outside counsel, listen to your own intuition.

The High Priestess Reversed

Perhaps after a period of introspection, you are already to integrate more or be more extroverted in your energy. A need to share your wisdom, or secrets. Wanting to leave a period of solitude.
