The Moon

The Moon Tarot Card

The Moon Card

"It is a common experience that a problem difficult at night is resolved in the morning after the committee of sleep has worked on it" -- John Steinbeck

The Moon card is the 18th card in the Major Arcana. It comes directly after the beautiful and hopeful Star card and before the vibrant Sun. The Moon is a nocturnal card. It is at night that we are at our most vulnerable and everything is hidden away from sight. The Moon represents our unconscious energy and also our hidden fears. This can be a card of paranoia or anxiety. In this particular deck, I am using here, it is called Illusion and here it is reminding us that sometimes in the thick of night our eyes and mind can play tricks on us.

As Advice

Your mind may be deceiving you right now or you may be prone to maximizing thinking. Right now your best bet is to calm the mind, get some sleep and there will always be more clarity in the morning. Do not take action now. More info will be revealed shortly and it is best to wait it out. Wait until you get all the info, The Moon card suggests things are not all that they seem.

The Moon Reversed

The anxiety is heightened when the card is reversed. Know that even in times of stress, like the Moon, it is all only a phase. When cards come out reversed they also offer us the opportunity to let go and release. Write out what is not serving you anymore and release into the universe. This too shall pass.
